The AMIF-funded project supports women from third countries during the early stages of their integration by offering guidance and counseling, teaching basic skills needed for education and employment, and providing opportunities to practice the Finnish language. The project operates in the Turku region.
The project offers guidance and counseling to all women living in the Turku region who come from third countries (non-EU and non-EEA countries) to support their integration. Additionally, training is provided to women in basic skills necessary for daily life, education, and job-seeking. These skills include:
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic digital skills
- Employment skills
The trainings are detailed further here.
Women whose integration is still in its early stages or who do not yet have a clear path to education or employment are welcome to receive personal guidance.
One of the activities of the project also includes various events where participants have the opportunity to use the Finnish language they have learned in different practical situations. These events will be announced separately on the International House Turku website and on this page.
For more information about the groups and other events, you can contact the counselor or the outreach counselor.
