The City of Turku strives to guarantee the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019.

This accessibility statement applies to the International House Turku website ihturku.fi when used with a browser.

This website partially meets the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Non-compliant exceptions are listed below.

Non-accessible content

The following parts of the website do not meet accessibility requirements:

  • HTML code of the site may contain entries that do not meet the HTML/XHTML specification (WCAG 4.1.1). It is likely that even these parts of the site will be displayed entirely correctly for browsers and screen readers.
  • Some event and project names may occur in Finnish on the English website. This concerns names with no existing translations.
